People live in a world that is quite different from the one just 20 years ago.The skyrocketing divorce rate, increase in violent crime, suicide as the second leading cause of death in the U.S, the high school dropout rate of 60% in many major cities, are just a few of the problems facing this country. In addition, a major gap continues to increase between church and community. The needs of people in the 21st century cry out to the church to find real solutions to real problems.

It seems that most churches and community-based nonprofits in America are hampered by stifling traditions, irrelevant programs, and outdated bureaucracies. Perhaps it is time to look at solutions that will breathe 'new life' into the hearts of faith-based and community organizations and re-focus them on relevance and organizational mission. Whether faith or community based, mission driven organizations strive to meet needs and point constituents to a people-loving, sin-pardoning Saviour as the way to achieve success in life. With that in mind, let us introduce you to MDM.

Mission Driven Ministry (MDM) is a non-profit (501c3) organization that originates and/or participates in high impact solutions to improve the quality of life for residents in underserved communities. Our three focus areas are: Housing and homelessness; Health/ Wellness Solutions and Living Wage Employment. In addition, the organization provides strategies, resources, and training for organizations desiring to become more relevant and mission-focused in their communities. MDM also serves as a financial intermediary for faith based and community organizations.

The MDM organization was was co-founded by Pastor Eddie Polite and Elder Thea Walker as a result of the book "Mission Driven Mnistry" . Mission Driven Ministry was co-authored by Pastor Eddie Polite and Furman Fordham II as Pastor Polite and Pastor Fordham challenged churches to become drivers of impact and change for our local communities. Pastor Polite and Elder Fordham were two of the founding Board Members. Currently, Ms. Thea G. Walker serves as the Executive Director of Mission Driven Ministry organization.
